Privacy Policy

The protection of your personal data is an important concern to us when collecting, processing and using your data during your visit to this website. Below we explain what information we collect during your visit to our website and how we use it:

1) Collection and processing of personal data

Each access to our website and each download of files is logged. This only serves internal system-related and statistical purposes. Recorded are: name of the file, date and time of access, data volume transferred, notification of successful download, web browser, and requesting domain. Additionally, the IP addresses of the computers requesting the data are logged. Additional personal data is only collected if you give it to us voluntarily. Profile passwords are stored in the database as encrypted (hashed) strings, which cannot be restored into actual readable text. Passwords used to protect URLs are stored in the database as plain text strings and can potentially be seen by administators of this site.

2) Use and disclosure of personal data

Your personal data that you supply to us will be used only to respond to your requests and for technical administration. We share this information with third parties only for statistical monitoring of visitor numbers, or with your consent. You have the right to revoke this consent at any time. Stored personal data is deleted when you retract your consent for storage, when the data are no longer required for the purpose they were collected for, or if the storage should prove to be illegal.

3) Right to information

Upon written request, we will inform you about your personal data stored with us. Your contact for issues of data protection legislation is: Sebastian, reachable via the email address in the imprint.

4) Cookies

This page uses cookies that are stored by your browser. "Cookies" are small text files that can be stored locally by a website in the memory used by your Internet browser, on the computer or other device you used to access this website. Cookies allow us to identify a particular web browser. The cookies on our website do not collect personal information about you or your use of this site. Once set, you can delete cookies at any time, by accessing the appropriate menu in your Internet browser, or you can delete the cookies from your hard disk. For details, consult the Help menu of your internet browser. Please find below an explanation of the service Google Analytics, which we use on this site, and which also uses cookies.

5) Use of our site without cookies

You can, of course, also use our site without enabling cookies. You can reject cookies at any time through the general settings of your Internet browser ("disable"), or you can set it to ask your consent before storing cookies; then, you can decide in individual cases whether you want to accept a cookie ("cookie-warning"). You can find the necessary settings for your Internet browser under the menu item "Tools / Internet Options" in Internet Explorer from Microsoft, or under the corresponding menu item in other browsers. For details, consult the Help menu of your internet browser. Rejecting cookies can affect the functionality of our site.

6) Google Analytics

This website uses Google Analytics, a web service of Google Inc. Google Analytics uses cookies, i.e. text files that are stored on your computer, to analyze your use of this web site. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website is transferred to a Google server in the U.S. and stored there. Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website, compile reports on website activity for website operators and provide other website- and internet-related services. Also, Google will transmit this information to third parties if required by law or if third parties process this data on Google's behalf. Since your privacy is very important to us, we have opted not to transfer your IP address to Google Analytics with the operator:

_gaq.push (['_gat._anonymizeIp']);

Google will under no circumstances receive your IP address and thus can not combine this data with any other data stored by Google. Other personal information is not transmitted to Google, either. You can prevent the data collection with this cookie completely by using a certain setting in your browser. If you want to block Google Analytics in general, we recommend the use of the Firefox add-on "NoScript", or a Google Analytics-specific plug-in that is available for your browser.

7) Social Plugins

On our website, we use so-called social plugins for the social network Facebook, Twitter, and Google Plus, collectively called Social Networks. These plugins can be identified with their greyed-out logo on the front page. As we are concerned about the privacy implications of these plugins, they are deactivated by default. Only after activating one of these plugins, your browser creates a direct connection with Social Network servers. By activating the plugin, Social Networks receive information from your browser, i.e. that it has accessed the respective page of our website, even if you do not have a Social Network account or are not currently logged in at the Social Network. This information (including your IP address) is transmitted directly from your browser to a server owned by the Social Network in the U.S. and stored there. If you're logged in at the Social Network, it can directly assign this website visit to your account. If you press the button twice, the corresponding information is also transmitted directly to a Social Network server and can be used to update your profile, interests and relationships stored and published on your page and can be seen by your Social Network contacts, depending on your settings. The Social Networks share this data with other services. For more details, please check the Social Network's privacy policy notice. If you do not want the Social Network to assign the data collected via our website to your profile, you should not activate any of the buttons.
